A little more progress on the pinwheel

I made some progress today. Still not sure about the design.

I tried a few more color combinations...added white with brown that reminds me of chocolate and vanilla ice cream. I could call the quilt neopolitan but for the blue. What flavor is light blue? Can't be blueberry. Maybe "blue rasberry." Or maybe the blue stands for ice??? I am trying to think of a clever title for the quilt...any suggestions?

As usual Princess Marie sits on the pieces. She doesn't like it when I go on a cleaning binge like today. All of this is now put away and she has nothing but a smooth table to lie on. She prefers the mess, but alas my husband does not.

Hi Kelly,*VBS* welcome to Blogland and the nicest quilt friends anywhere.
Thanks for stopping by over at Pieces, I'm always happy to see a new face.
I've read all you previous entries, and I really like the way you work and think. I have total disregard for those quilt police that want everything 'matchy-matchy' and perfectly straight...LOL
Quilt shops can be neat places, if for no other reason than to get inspiration. Unfortunately we've quite become a nation of 'followers', most of whom want to make the exact same quilt as everyone else...safety in numbers I guess.
I like what you are playing with, the pinwheel blocks. I think there is a candy product called "Laffy Taffy" that comes in all sorts of colors. Your quilt reminds me of that stretchy, yummy treat..*VBS*
I think my most favorite of what I saw was your airplane baby quilt. It is truly unique and sooooo delightful!
I'm an old hand quilter of many years, gradually falling into the 'can't see well anymore' area...LOL I do quite a bit of my quilting now, with a larger needle and perle cotton. It's called Big Stitch or utility quilting, and it's loads of fun and goes fast.
Please do stop by again, keep checking out the blogs that you find listed on our side bars. You have quite a few others who think like you do. Hugs, Finn

Yes, I agree with Finn - perle stitch quilting would suit your style very much. I have yet to try it myself but like the effect. The pinwheels are coming along nicely. Can't help with a title I'm afraid - I always get stuck on naming quilts :-)

Could someone point me to a website that describes perle stitch quilting? Thanks.
