Both of my cats

I took this picture of my 2 cats, Eeyore and Princess Marie while they lay cuddled on an old chair. In the background you can barely see the quilt my Aunt Linda made for me when I was 6.

Cat on Rag Quilt

My darling long haired cat Princess Marie sits on her favorite perch: the back of the couch. Beneath her is a rag quilt I made this year. I used lots of denim scraps including pockets cut out of favorite pairs of jeans. More on this quilt coming later...

Some tiny Doll Quilts

These are some tiny doll quilts I made at the age of 10. My daughters use them for their Barbie dolls now. The one on the top is 4" by 6", and the one on the bottom is about 3" by 4". I created these all on my own, by hand, for my family of dollhouse people.

The first quilt I ever finished

I began this quilt in 1988 when I was 15 (oops gave away my age). I finished it 15 years later! Needless to say my quilts don't take that long anymore! The roses are hand appliqued, and the blocks are machine-sewn. All the quilting was hand done by me! That would be the 15 year thing...

Quilt Quatastrophes

My life is full of catastrophes. I am clumsy. I get lost. Once I left my appointment book in my sociology class and never saw it again. I am not organized. I like messes.

Yet I like to quilt. In quilting, I organize crazy scraps of fabric into beautiful finished blankets.
